Rebecca has experience advocating at both the federal and state level. She has testified several times in the Colorado State legislature and has helped to pass several step therapy laws. She serves as a mentor to new patient advocates with the Colorado Chronic Care Collaborative.

Rebecca serves as a consumer patient advocate representative on the Colorado Governor’s Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise Board. She was appointed to serve in this role by Governor Jared Polis.

For the past few years, Rebecca has participated in the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs’ (CDMRP), Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP), providing the patient perspective through evaluation of research applications related to arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders.

Rebecca is currently working on the Denver Collaboration for Equitable Health initiative with the American Diabetes Association. This project will provide advocacy training to community members and guidance in helping to shape policies related to health equity in Denver.
